I need a break so badly,
Away from these people
and all of this stress.
I need long coastline drives,
With the wind in my hair
And music in my ears

I need good company
And good fortune
For the first time in a long time,
So that I can spend a full day
With a smile on my face
Without my heart in my stomach.

I want my cheeks aching from smiling
My throat rubbed raw from singing.
I just want us to be happy and carefree.
Someday soon it’s coming,
A trip to get away from it all,
For the first time far too long.
